My creative madness stems from the stories narrated to me as a child by my grandparents. When I realized that this imagination could be turned into a reality, I got reeled into the magic of cinema. I was born and brought up in the small town of Maharashtra and aspired to have a creative career. I joined St. Xavier's College, Mapusa, Goa to study mass communication. The culture of Goa and its serene nature has left a very long-lasting impact on me and still continues to inspire me. After my graduation, I dabbled in advertising briefly but cinema were always my true calling. Soon after I entered through the gates of Film and Television Institute Of India to pursue a career in film-making. The real magic of editing was revealed to me after I joined FTII.  Editing has given me a new approach of understanding cinema and how much impact an editor can do has left me amazed. It's been an incredible journey so far, meeting fellow crazies like myself and learning from them. My major filmmaking influences include Yashujiro Ozu,  Hirokazu Koreeda and Hayao Miyazaki. I particularly admire the work of contemporary Indian filmmakers like Sujit sarkar, Amit Dutta, Payal Kapadia and Chaitanya Tamhane.
